In an effort to spotlight the many volunteer opportunities within the Hot Springs Village POA, and the amazing volunteers who have already discovered these positions, we’re kicking off a new recognition program.
Hot Springs Village POA proudly recognizes Georgia Gaston, who volunteers at the Hot Springs Village Library, located inside the Coronado Center at 150 Ponderosa Lane.
As a volunteer at the library, she takes on many responsibilities.
Among a library volunteer’s many responsibilities are processing items from the library circulation system including books, DVD’s, audio books, magazines and more. They also shelve returned items, answer phone calls and answer questions about the library, provide tours of the library to guests and first time visitors, and do the light housekeeping, primarily dusting the shelves.
Georgia also includes book sales as part of her volunteer activities for the library.
What’s her favorite thing about volunteering in the Village?
“Helping patrons,” Georgia said.
Georgia’s hometown is Saint Louis. She’s a long-time resident of the Village, living here since 1996. Currently she lives with her husband, Robert.
When asked her favorite thing life in Hot Springs Village, it seemed a natural response for someone who works in a library. “
Thank you Georgia for being an amazing volunteer!
