Bocce Ball

The game of skill and concentration, rather than physical stamina, is fun and easy to learn. It is played on a flat surface similar to a bowling lane. The object to get game balls as close as possible to the target ball (pallino). All equipment is provided by the Village Bocce Ball Club.
Bocce Ball Courts are located across at DeSoto Park Lane across from the Dog Park and next to the Lawn Bowling Green.
For more information about the Village Bocce Ball Club, visit their webpage at this link.

Lawn Bowling

The Village Green Bowls Club is active all year. Lawn bowling is a game similar to regular bowling with moderate exercise. The game is played on a green with a target ball, but the balls weigh only two to three pounds and are less strenuous on the legs and back. The object of the game is to get balls near the target ball. The balls are biased, so they are rolled left to right or right to left making lawn bowling a challenge. The Lawn Bowling facility is located near corner of Toledo Drive and DeSoto Boulevard. Hours:  Oct. thru April 1:30 PM Mon-Wed-Fri ( only if temp is above 45 degrees.)  May thru Sept. 8:30 AM Mon-Wed-Fri
