Seven years later we still use the word "paradise" when we describe this place. I didn’t play golf until I moved here and now I play three times a week. And our kids are happy, too, because they were worried we were going to be bored retiring here.

We’ve made more friends here in three years than we had in the last 15 years. There’s so much golf and there’s so much beauty on the golf courses, too. Hot Springs Village is happiness. After we visit family and spend time in Dallas, we pull through the gates and take a deep breath and say, all right, this is why we’re here.

The village reminded me of home without the snow. We found a builder when we were ready to retire and we haven't regretted a day since.

We have a house on Lake Cortez and a party barge, and one of our favorite things to do is take it out at sunset and pack a picnic. Hot Springs Village is home - it's where we belong.

There aren't many gated communities that have their own radio station, so for the Village to have one, it's a special thing. We're so proud of our community. It really is a melting pot, and you get to meet people you wouldn't normally meet.
